Sonia Ibrahim is an Architect with a passion for Urban Design, specializing in the post-conflict recovery of historic cities. With seven years of experience at the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums in Syria, Sonia has supervised various rehabilitation projects in World Heritage cities. Her work integrates contemporary needs with historical context to create evolving urban environments. Her notable projects include the Master Plan of Damascus Citadel and the post-war rehabilitation project in Aleppo. Sonia has published works on sustainable urban development and urban heritage management, including “3D Heritage as a Catalyst for Social Participation in Safeguarding Cities in Conflict.”
